The Berlin Christmas market is located around the Neptune Fountain on the west side of Alexanderplatz and creates a connection between the Marienkirche and the Rotes Rathaus.
In addition to traditional food and drinks, there is home-baked bread from the medieval show bakery and the tavern has hot meds made from clay jugs.
For children, dreams come true when Santa Claus comes flying over the Neptune Fountain on a sleigh with a team of reindeer. That’s three times a day – at 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. A trip in the beautifully painted carousel, which is over a hundred years old, or the train that travels through the snow-covered fairy-tale forest will also remain unforgettable.
Music, theater and Berlin originals transport visitors to old Berlin. Nante, Grete with the trumpet and the four from the Neptune Fountain meet here. Berlin figures stage snapshots of Berlin life as it took place in this place 100 years ago. Every day between 5.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m., the tower blowers at St. Mary’s Church, the Marktgassen and the animal world create a cozy Christmas atmosphere with their sounds.
